In 1998, the PoleStar Award was instituted, as they believed that in the years to come the IT industry was going to alter global equations in India’s favour. The PoleStar Award was formed to encourage and salute exemplary work in IT and Business Journalism. The Award recognises outstanding talent among Indian media professionals.

This year 2017, the PoleStar Foundation wanted to recognise Social Organisations that are doing tremendous work for the betterment of society. The Social Impact Project recognised 4 categories – Education, Livelihood, Health, and Empowerment.

MOHAN Foundation was presented with the prestigious PoleStar Social Impact Awards 2017 for the category “Health” on 27th October, 2017. Mr. Azim Hashim Premji, Chairman, Wipro Limited was invited as the Chief Guest for the award show, Mr. Arun Jain, Chairman & Managing Director, Intellect Design Arena Ltd was also present on the dais.

A one minute video was screened on all the winners. Dr. Sunil Shroff, Mrs. Shaila Shroff, Mr. Siva Shankar and Ms. Ann Alex were present at the awards show on behalf of MOHAN Foundation.
