Digital Health & Medical Informatics

Harnessing technology to transform healthcare.

Long before digital health became mainstream, Dr. Sunil Shroff recognized the potential of information technology to improve healthcare delivery, medical education, patient empowerment and clinical decision-making.

Over the past three decades, he has pioneered national initiatives that combine medicine with technology to make healthcare more accessible, affordable and evidence-based.

Building the field

Three initiatives, one mission

As the Founder and Chief Editor of Medindia, he established one of India's largest and most trusted health information platforms, providing reliable, evidence-based health information free of cost to millions of users worldwide.

Through the Medical Computer Society of India, he championed the adoption of medical informatics and digital technologies among healthcare professionals. As a long-standing faculty member and former Lead Trainer of the Telemedicine Society of India, he has helped train thousands of doctors in telemedicine, supporting the safe and effective delivery of virtual healthcare across the country.

His commitment to digital innovation also led to the creation of the Indian Organ Transplant Registry, the first registry of its kind in Asia, and the development of digital platforms supporting organ allocation, transplant coordination and healthcare education for several State Governments.

Today, these initiatives continue to strengthen healthcare systems by connecting clinicians, patients, educators and policymakers through technology.
